Dear David, We had our first session about 3 weeks ago. Since that time, I have continued to get walking exercise almost every day and I’ve been staying away from eating in the evenings and have avoided the foods that contain excessive sugar and carbs. Dear David, Golf is a passion of mine – for the fun of the exercise, the experience of nature and the joy of playing and competing. My commitment to improving my game – and having more fun-- is evidenced by my hours on the practice range and a series of lessons over the past 5 years from several wonderful Pros at area golf clubs. I felt I had the technical knowledge – or at least as much as I could absorb at my level of play. The next level for me was to seriously work on the mental game of golf – and that is why I committed to 3 sessions with you; My reverse pivot --- was the single most important swing correction I needed to make. While years of lessons had helped me correct a lot of elements of my grip, stance and swing – my reverse pivot was a perennial problem. The first golf hypnosis session on visualization was fabulous -- and resulted in instantaneous change. My reverse pivot is gone – after years and years of knowing what I SHOULD do – now I am DOING it! That change alone got me 15 yards more off the tee – and more importantly, eliminated a “doubt” in my swing thought and dramatically improved results – INSTANTANEAOUSLY!! . In this session I also learned the visualization technique that Pros use and that I can use – on my own -- at any time -- and especially when I try to groove in new swing changes and before important matches. The next 2 golf sessions were totally on focus and concentration. I was THINKING -- on the tee, for the critical 2nd shot, for the putt – too many thoughts going through the mind. I needed to learn how to clear my mind and FOCUS!!! How does one control the emotions? How does one stay in the moment? How does one clear the mind? How does one focus AND incorporate the visualization of the shot? My sessions with David were tailored to Me and my Mind – focused on my new golf swing, focused on the correct weight shift and timing from right to left, incorporating all the new suggested changes from my local golf Pro into our pre-talk – and into the session. I now have a solid mental routine in my set-up and when I address the ball. Little did I know at the time that these two sessions on focus would provide the mental toughness to help me win the WGA Club Championship in 2010.
